Helping People Be Healthier
I am a primary care physician who has retired from clinical practice. I remain actively involved in health education and patient advocacy, as well as being a harsh critic of America’s highly profitable business of treating preventable illnesses. I am committed to helping as many people as possible lead healthier and more fulfilling lives
I believe that our mental and physical health, and our overall wellbeing, are our most precious personal assets. Those assets need to be protected and encouraged to grow. The best health investment people can make is to adopt a healthier lifestyle, and to make use of preventive health services such as vaccinations and regular medical checkups.
Although I have explored many other approaches to health and healing, I am not a proponent of “alternative” or “non-allopathic” medicine” because they don’t have credible evidence for safety and efficacy. My focus is on preventive medicine and science-based lifestyle interventions. In my Newsletter, Posts, and Notes, I present the latest developments in those fields, and explore their practical applications.
